At Spite Fitness, we believe fitness belongs to everyone.

We exist for the people who’ve been overlooked, underestimated, or made to feel like they don’t belong in a gym. Every body, every background, every starting point is welcome here. We are committed to building a space rooted in justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging — where movement and nutrition become tools for real transformation, not gatekeeping.

Our goal is simple: empower 10,000 people to reach their health goals and feel at home doing it.

The Team

Ryan Nolan

Built by Someone Who's Been Where You Are

Ryan didn’t find fitness easily — he earned it.

Before becoming a coach, Ryan spent 14 years as a professional chef, developing a deep understanding of food, nutrition, and how what we eat shapes how we feel. When he decided to transform his own health and lost 100 pounds, he experienced firsthand what it takes to change your body and your relationship with yourself.

That journey led him to become an ACE and NASM certified personal trainer, a certified nutritionist, a published recipe book author, and a professional natural bodybuilder competing in the PNBA federation. He built Spite Fitness because he knows what it feels like to start from scratch — and he knows exactly how to help you get to the other side.

Ryan has helped hundreds of people reach their health goals through personalized training and nutrition coaching that actually fits their lives. His approach isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress, consistency, and making sure you never feel alone in the process.

Andy Palacios

Andy Palacios — Personal trainer, massage therapist and natural Bodybuilder

Hey there, my name is Andy! You can find me bopping around the gym either at the front desk teaching group classes, or even taking them right alongside you! My goal is to bring energy, encouragement and care to a space that can already be very vulnerable and even intimidating to most.

I found Spite Fitness last year, and in taking the classes almost daily I found that spark of motivation came back to me after a long battle post Covid. When I was a kid I engaged in years of Mixed Martial Arts, gymnastics, swimming, biking, skating, you name it! College was a true pivotal moment for me when I realized the gym doesn’t have to be a scary space, it can be a tool for grounding myself back into my body by connecting in a way I wasn’t used to. Movement shouldn’t feel like a punishment, and with a community here to motivate and cheer you on, you will be surprised at how much you can accomplish!

My goal with every class is to help push you to show up for yourself in the ways that you would show up and support any one of your loved ones. Lets get stronger together, one step at a time! Come take some classes and find an amazing community along the way!

Nes Gonzalez

Nes Gonzales — Fitness Instructor and Personal trainer

Hello my name is Andres but I go by Nes and I’ve been an Instructor and Personal Trainer at Spite Fitness since July 2025. I am certified through ISSA and am currently working on getting a boxing certification through Tony Jeffries Boxing Fitness Academy.

My background is in Bodybuilding, Powerlifting, and Boxing/Muay Thai and I’ve been fortunate enough to have had coaching in all disciplines.

I’m a big fan of teaching and promoting mastery of the “basics”. Why? Because they are very effective at producing one thing, Results. My goal is to give you the competence and confidence to understand how to move, come up with a workout program, and most importantly what effort feels like. It sounds simple really, but it’s something I’m still learning to this day. As the saying goes “The Best Teachers never stop learning”. Simply put, you need to be a lifelong student.  If you give me your all, I’ll give you my all. I look forward to us working together.

Nicky Nickelson

Nicky Nickelson — Certified Personal Trainer and Biomechanics Specialist

As a Certified Personal Trainer and Biomechanics Specialist, I believe that an injury shouldn’t be the end of your strength journey—it’s an opportunity to shift gears and explore a different approach to movement. I specialize in bridging the gap between rehabilitation and performance, helping clients navigate current or past injuries to rediscover their physical potential.

My approach is thoughtful; I view movement through a problem-solving lens to understand the “why” behind what your body is experiencing. This allows me to take the guesswork out of how you should be working out, building a truly individualized program that makes you both stronger and more connected to your body. I am passionate about supporting clients of all ages and backgrounds, ensuring everyone has the strength, tools, and confidence to thrive.

For me, training is built on a foundation of trust. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where we can challenge your body safely, ensuring every rep is an investment in your longevity—all while keeping the process fun and engaging. All bodies are welcome.
